ob Purpose

The job holder is responsible for planning, control and execution of all day to day aspects of wine making, spirit/ juice blending. This position directs, monitors daily winery operations, and oversees the operation of winery processing equipment, co- leading processes and manpower to deliver efficient output at the desired quality.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Wine making-fermentation, fining, racking, filtration.
Co-lead temporary and machine operators to attain set goals.
Monitor Winery jobs in progress and provide leadership in execution.
System generation of Works orders as per production plan, Material issuance and system completion.
Plan and avail raw materials for blending.
Lead in blending of bulk for packaging at the desired quality, time and cost effectively.
Review and approve blended bulk for packaging.
Review and approve material reconciliation for completed Works orders.
Review processing equipment logs.
Taste and evaluate the final product to ensure the desired quality is achieved.
Work with warehousing department to ensure required inputs are available in good time and the reorder levels adhered to avoid stock outs.
Ensure all raw materials returned to inventory have the right quantity and containers are in good condition in line with the internal policies and procedures.
Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly stock takes and order consumables timeously to ensure continuity in winemaking practices.
Minimum Requirements

A Diploma in food science and technology
Certificate in winemaking is an added advantage
At least five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing company, three of which must be in a winery department.
Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems
Competencies/Attributes

FMCG
In-depth knowledge of production processes related to the manufacture of Wines/spirits/RTD.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to determine the root cause of a problem.
Ability to set priorities and work independently within set guidelines.
High level of Integrity.

Brief Description

Reporting to the Manager -Enterprise Service Activation, the position holder will be responsible for ensuring quality and speed of deployed solutions. He/she will also be responsible for the delivery of the promise of the business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement various solutions components in line with designed solution
Ensuring that deployed solution meet and exceed set quality benchmarks
Work closely with the Solution Architect team to develop LLD solution templates.
Responsible for the Quality of the delivered solutions
Participate in project management and communication at all stages of deployment
Responsible for identifying, establishing, and managing Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Value and/or Benchmark engagements, in the customer environment
Participate in the solution design validation process
Responsible for the “as-built” documentation of deployed solutions
Responsible for the handover deployed solution to the support team to ensure seamless support
Continuously work with other teams to streamline internal process to improve service delivery
Provide support to the EBU Automation Program by assisting in the development/reviewing of User Requirement Specifications
Provide inputs in the innovation of the new products and customization of existing products to fit customer business requirement.
Participate in innovation to improve delivered products and services and to explore new technologies and their applications in the enterprise space
Liaise with other sections/departments in the delivery of services and projects as well as maintain good working relations between the team and all stakeholders
Develop reusable customer solution design implementation templates in the form of standard customer deliverables.
Lead solution design reviews and network requirements for the Low Level Design.
Continuous research and training to improve speed, effectiveness and quality of deployment.
Feedback and improvement of designed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in an Engineering related discipline.
Over 4 years experience in deployment and integration of large enterprise or service provider networks
Team leadership skills.
Strong relationship building skills.
Project Management skills.
Sound product knowledge of the business’ existing product portfolio.
