This position is located in the Budget Section of the office of the Budget and Financial Management Services (BFMS) within the Division of Administrative Services (DAS). Within delegated authority, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities
BUDGETING:
• Preparation of cost estimates and budget proposals in terms of staff and non-staff requirements for regular budget and extra-budgetary resources under UNON Administration.
• Monitor budget implementation and performance and recommend reallocation of funds as necessary.
• Ensure that requisitions for goods and services are in line with authorized budgets, the priorities of the organization and the UN financial rules and regulations.
• Review requests for creation and extension of positions as well as requests for recruitment.
• Assist in the execution of cost recovery in line with established agreements and policies and support on the collection of associated receivables.
• Perform certifying functions of financial transactions as per delegation.
ACCOUNTING:
• Responsible for the processing of financial documents in line with the financial rules and regulations.
• Review and analysis of various accounting data, financial statements input and preparation of reports.
• Scrutinize supporting documents for completeness, accuracy and validity of requests in line with applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Verify accuracy of postings and process corrections as appropriate.
• Analyze and monitor open item managed accounts (OIM) in the ERP system (Umoja) and initiate corrective action.
• Perform approval functions of financial transactions as per delegation.

Reporting to the Board, the Head of Nursing will be held accountable for the nursing service given to patients in all departments. This includes making provisions for the best possible nursing care of patients at all times, the development, implementation and evaluation of care and the setting and monitoring of standards of care, the rostering, organization and allocation of the work, teaching and training of nurses and support staff and participation in the ongoing development and evaluation of systems and programmes for delivery of care. All nursing sub-departments and Nursing Supervisors will report to this position.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the Hospital. Know and practice the prescribed philosophy, purpose, policies, and standards of Nursing/Patient Care Services.
• Ensure that service departments including operating theatre infrastructure, ICU, NICU, HDU, Ward, Maternity, Emergency, In-Patient, OPD, Dialysis, Radiology and Pathology requirements are in place and coverage by concerned trained nurses.
• Ensure proper infection control in the hospital, discipline, training, cleanliness, duty roster, IT system.
• Proper indenting of any requirements in advance, ensuring the department follows all quality norms and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare ROTA and allocation of duties in the Nursing department, meeting and training schedule for the Department & conduct the same in a professional manner
• Give daily reports to the Operations Team, concerned Resident Medical Doctor and Visiting Consultants.
• Give Reports on non-medical issues to the Board
• Organise, direct, and administer the Nursing/Patient Care Services in order to provide the level of care required by current medical and nursing standards.
• Maintain continuing quality assessment and improvement analysis and evaluation of patient care delivery and communicate with Management on the activities/issues of Nursing/Patient Care Services and patient feedback collection with reporting.
• Plan and recommend to Management new facilities, equipment, or modifications needed to provide better patient care.
• Recommend, support, and participate in education service

Wildlife Protection Administrator
Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) is one of the most successful and impactful local conservation organization based at UNESCO World Heritage Site Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. NRT is a membership organization owned and led by 43 community conservancies in Northern and Coastal Kenya, which together comprise 12% of Kenyan land area. NRT was established as a shared resource to help build and develop community conservancies, to enhance people’s lives, build peace, and conserve the natural environment.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and capacity building support to conservancy rangers and oversee wildlife protection operations in close liaison with relevant government agencies at NRT Coast. This position will be reporting to Wildlife Protection Manager.
Key roles/responsibilities
-
Provide oversight and support to ranger-based monitoring systems (CoMMs) and liaise with relevant NRT departments to provide refresher training, technical support, and equipment to ensure monitoring systems are functioning effectively at conservancy level.

Build capacity of conservancy rangers and management in presentation of information and evidence for effective prosecution of wildlife & natural-resource related crimes/illegal activities. • Oversight of ranger-based marine monitoring and surveys.

Solicit, communicate and facilitate all welfare issues affecting Conservancy Rangers and Mobile teams.

Plan, initiate and prepare requisitions and follow up prompt delivery of all logistics and supplies for the entire security department.

Maintain a data base of security uniform, wear and tear and replacement schedules, always ensuring that the scouts are well catered for and presentable.

Coordinate the supply of equipment and uniforms to conservancies.
-
Coordinate regular meetings and training for the conservancy teams.
-
Drive a structured process of capacity building and constant attention to improving leadership within the Conservancy Rangers.
-
Assist in Coordination and participation in departmental proposal and report writing to donors and other external partners.

Maintain close liaison with the GOK and other Law enforcement agencies.

Perform any other duties delegated from time to time by the Wildlife Protection Manager.
