Job brief
We are looking for a Fitness Trainer who will run and supervise various fitness and health programs. You will assess the physical and health conditions of clients, create appropriate exercise plans, and monitor their improvement. You will also explain applicable safety rules and regulations (e.g. use of equipment).
Ultimately, you will help our clients have fun and improve their health through exercise.
Responsibilities
• Identify the clients’ fitness level and health
• Oversee completion of exercise routines
• Track clients’ physical progress
• Modify exercise plans based on needs, potential injuries or health issues
• Conduct individual and group fitness training sessions
• Adopt a holistic training approach (e.g. cardiovascular exercise, strength)

Restaurant Accountant
Reporting to: Finance Manager
Direct supervises: Accounts Clerk, Stores clerk and stock controllers
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the finances of the restaurant and other restaurant establishments. Will ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). As well you will be responsible for ensuring that taxes and other obligations are paid on time, handling payroll duties, and providing support to other departments within the restaurant as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded and accurately entered into the accounting systems.
* Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and hotel procedures
* Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
* Develop, maintain, and analyze, preparing periodic reports that compare the budget to the actual costs.
* Develop and review the accounting department policies and standard operating procedures.
* Undertake cash and bank reconciliations
* Responsible for verification of income, receivables & debtors reconciliation.
* Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
* Prepares monthly reports
* Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and document business transactions.
* Take responsibility for daily stock takes, spot checks, reconciliation and timely of daily sales reports against expenses.
* Prepares monthly revenue and cost center reports
* Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
* Analyze transactions, processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
* Apply cost accounting methods to achieve efficient representation of cost center performance.
* Maintain a system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets including maintaining asset register and applying appropriate depreciation.
* Responsible for all statutory obligations i.e. paye, nssf, nhif, catering levy, corporate tax e.t.c.
* Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
* Ensuring compliance with government and corporate policies laws and regulations
* Dealing with company’s payroll by processing wages and employee expense claims
* Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information.
* Any other role that may be assigned by the Finance Manager
Job Qualifications
* Degree in Accounting or Finance or a CPA-Finalist
* Must have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an accountant in a hotel or restaurant
* Must be proficient in SAP, Material Control and a POS Systems
* Must be candidate of unquestionable integrity
* Should also be dynamic and a team player
* Excellent analytical skills and hotel controls
* Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurized environment
* Team leader with excellent organizational skills
* Stock control skills
* Ability to understand and apply current accounting guidelines and systems
