We seek a highly motivated and qualified Counselling Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality counselling services to our clients and working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Counselling Psychologist will be responsible for the following:
Conducting mental health assessments and providing counselling services
Developing treatment plans and facilitating individual and group counselling sessions
Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Providing crisis intervention services and making referrals
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
Collaborating with other professionals to provide comprehensive care to our clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mature Christian who is supportive of the beliefs, calling and vision of Beacon of Hope
A Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a similar field
At least 3 years of experience in providing counselling services
Registered with the Kenya Counselling and Psychology Association
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work
Have a keen awareness and a good knowledge of psychosocial issues and the complexities of working on these issues

1.Client Consultation:
-Understand clients’ travel preferences, budgets, and requirements.
Offer expert advice on travel destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities.

2.Booking and Reservations:

4.Customer Service and Support:
-Respond to inquiries and provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
-Address and resolve any issues or concerns before, during, or after the trip.
-Offer 24/7 support to clients in case of emergencies or unexpected situations.
-Maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
5. Industry Knowledge and Research:
-Stay up-to-date with travel trends, new destinations, and emerging tourism products.
-Research and compare prices, promotions, and discounts offered by various travel suppliers.
-Attend industry conferences, seminars, or webinars to enhance knowledge and network with other professionals.
6.Sales and Revenue Generation:
-Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to enhance clients’ travel experiences.
-Promote special travel packages, group tours, or seasonal offers to attract new customers.
-Collaborate with marketing teams to create appealing travel brochures, flyers, or online content.
-Meet or exceed sales targets by actively seeking new clients and maintaining existing relationships.
8.Administration and Record-Keeping:

we’re hopefully going to be working with Girl Effect on a new Kenya campaign focused around SRHR with young women and girls. As part of the branding process we’re very keen to work with a locally-based research consultant who ideally is herself a woman in her 20s/30s and is already tapped in with the different contexts and narratives in rural/urban areas across SRHR. Key responsibilities would include:
– Supporting with landscape analysis of SRHR narrative, trends, and barriers across Kenya
– Co-facilitating focus groups x2 with a group of young women and girls.
– Co-leading individual interviews x5 with young women and girls.
– Feed insights into summary research report – nothing too strenuous – concise and insight led.
